I am Doctor Alan Witter, aka. “Doc.” I am a graduate of Cornell’s Veterinary School, as was my father before me and my brother after me. My uncle and one cousin are also veterinarians, so veterinary medicine seems to have run in the family. My Jack Russell, Izzy, and I come to work together every day. Izzy’s buddy, Iggy the cat, stays at home with the horses and waits for our return. Stop by and see why I am so proud of my staff and facility.
Hi! I’m Dolores Newman, one of the veterinarians here at Confederate Ridge Animal Hospital. I’m originally from New Jersey but have lived in Virginia for 27 years. I graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. King George, Virginia is my home along with my wonderful family: husband, Rod, 4 children, 2 dogs, 4 cats and 4 guinea pigs. Life is never boring at our house. Confederate Ridge An. Hosp. is a great place to spend my days with a superb staff and fantastic clients. In my spare time I do enjoy spending time with my active family, reading, gardening and cooking.
Hello, I am Elizabeth Collins. I grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania, in a rural community. I graduated from Purdue University with a DVM degree in 1991. I recently moved to King George with my husband James and my two children. We have 2 cats, “Gulliver”- an old gentleman, and “D’Argo”- a young rascal. I enjoy working here at Confederate Ridge, the staff is helpful and fun, and our clients and their pets make life interesting. When not at work I enjoy reading, painting, hiking and working on my house and gardens.
